UKNM: Mobile Phone Number Lists

Hope some of you might be able to help.  I'm looking at sending text messages direct to mobile phones to communicate a promotion.  Obviously very conscious of the opt-in as we have no intention of pissing off people and creating bad PR for our client.


However I need a starting point and was wondering if anyone had any details of companies that can provide lists of numbers where people have opted in to receive information.


Also wondered about validity of these numbers in terms of how quickly people change mobile numbers and whether people on these lists have truly opted in.


Any comments would be much appreciated
