True, in the final version, those are superfluous.

In a beginning tutorial I don't include error (range) checking or other

features if they are not needed. The need for range checking would be

needed if I did an up and down fade (alpha) which is why in this

tutorial it only goes down. Experienced programmers can easily figure

out adding range checking and I will be covering it soon. But, I believe

it would be information overload for many non-programmers.
