select your star by clicking on it with the mouse. do a cntrl D and you will

make a duplicate of it. move your playhead up a couple of frames from where

the first star starts. put the center cross hair of the second star on the

start of your motion guide. add a couple of frames past where the first star

finishes. make it a keyframe. put the center cross hair on the finish of the

guide. repeat for all stars. voila!
