I'd disagree on this point, as a poorly managed email list will result in

someone getting emails that they do *not* want. This is, in effect,

unsolicited mail.


Another take on your analogy: you can't make fish from chicken, but there

ceratinly is a fishy smell when you leave it out to rot.
