Just to prove a point, I went to b&q on saturday to get a spade. When I went
into the shop, I asked the nearest assistant, who turned out to be a black
teenager, where I could find the spades. Just as the word "spades" came out
of my mouth, I suddenly worried I would offend him and stuttered the word
and went bright red. The kid laughed, said he gets that all the time and
pointed me in the right direction. This PC bollocks is just that. What am I
supposed to call it? Small Shovel? God help me if I ever need to buy a
hoe...
