Scenes are sections in a movie that are or should be completely
independent. Movie Clips were created after scenes but were made to
follow that basic premise, so they do not work across scenes.

The scene structure is not and was never exported to the .swf file where
no matter how many scenes are used the final movie is just one long
scene. Scenes are a tool for the authoring environment only. Advanced
Flash work generally limits or excludes use of scenes.
