Online service shot dead


The UK's internet industry suffered another blow today with the closure of

the-bullet.com, an online media news service specialising in broadcast, new

media and print information.

Launched in May this year, the site is believed to have suffered from a lack

of commercial interest and although its management team is reported to still

be in place, journalists working on the site are understood to have been

made redundant.

The closure of the-bullet follows the widely publicised failure of boo.com

and suggestions that the internet industry will be hit by a series of

closures as funding dries up.
