Frederico,

As the person who set all this off I'd like to say thanks for the invaluable
advice - pity it was so aggressive. Appreciate the apology :-)
I have been having this problem only with Flash. I also work with ProTools
which, as you say, tends to crash when I quit applications in the wrong order.
It is otherwise totally stable. Just one thing - A brand new G3 should not
have these problems atall and why do I only have problems with Flash and then
only with properties??

I must admit to taking my Mac for granted and not really taking care of it.
Problem is - no-one told me how to before. Now I have no excuse.

I'll try to follow your rather incomprehensible advice (I don't knon what some
words mean - back to school for me :-)).
Give me a week and I'll have tried everything you suggest - who knows, you
may have changed my life but I don't know it yet :-)

Please try to remember that a great many Mac users are not technicians and are
not interested in the technical side (I know of at least one whose 'broken'
Mac was simply not plugged in). Obviously anyone who makes their living (or
not ;-() using a personal computer should be open to the technical side. I am
by no means a total idiot but being a Mac mechanic would seem to be rather a
specialist trade - and one that you ply, if I'm not mistaken. I'll get back to
the artistic side of it all and see if I can't find a Mac mechanic for my
company.

<humblepie> from someone who doesn't take proper care of his Mac.
