Shoreditch £25k - £30k About the role Founded nine months ago, the Open Data Institute (ODI) is an independent, non-partisan organisation that drives the agenda for open data. We do this by working with organisations to: open up their data; train their teams; and build open data into their systems. A key part of that work is our membership programme. In that programme we are building a community of organisations who want to take advantage of the possibilities created by open data. We are looking to appoint a Membership Relationship Coordinator who will be responsible for: Working with the Membership Manager to create excellent relationships and experiences in the membership programme to drive retention of paying members Working with the Commercial team to deepen the relationship with members and make sure the whole ODI offering brings value to members e.g. open data training, event management design and delivery Facilitating the sharing of knowledge between members. The Membership Relationship Coordinator will be motivated by speaking to people, making connections between people and creating excellent experiences for members. You must be able to: Create a programme of networking events for members and the open data community around the UK - around one event a month. Create lasting connections between members and the wider open data community - initially at least one meaningful connection a month e.g. introducing two members who go on to work together. Responsibilities Create attractive and functionally appropriate new designs for F1000 websites Produce advertisements, leaflets, newsletters, posters and other marketing material (web/print) Produce and optimize images for website use Keep up to date with trends in design and usability Be alert to usability improvements during specification and testing phases Requirements Experience of designing print-ready marketing materials Ability to map project requirements and specifications to mock-ups Excellent image manipulation and design skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Experience in creating Flash banners Understanding of XHTML/DHTML/CSS Good awareness of usability issues Excellent time-management skills in dealing with overlapping projects Good communication skills Preferable Proficient in HTML 5 / CSS 3 Experience with responsive layouts preferred Excellent knowledge of browser and platform compatibility To apply for this position please send your CV and covering letter, stating salary expectations, suitability for the position and quoting job reference to: Recruitment, F1000, 34-42 Cleveland St, London, W1T 4LB, or by email to: jobs@sciencenow.com.
