Description

Hot off the press, the doors are now open for the next Good for Nothing gig on May 20-22 at Splendid Communications great space in London.

It will all kick-off with drinks on Friday night from 7pm followed by 2 days of accelerated thinking/hacking/doing/making leading to a show and tell at 4pm on Sunday afternoon, and maybe some after-party fun.

We're on the hunt for 80 awesome folks from across a wide range of disciplines - designers, developers, communicators, film-makers, animators, bloggers, copywriters, planners, illustrators, coders, hackers, makers, strategists, planners - basically anyone who's up for some turbo-charged 'doing'.

No egos, no bullshit, just 48 hours of fast-track creating with a purpose. There'll be food, drinks, music, maybe even dancing. All you need to bring is yourself and the tools of your trade.

We asked the gang who came to the first event for ideas and whittled down to 3 really different, but equally awesome social and environmental grass-roots innovators - each with a challenging but open brief. There's tons of scope to get stuck in and rapidly make things that will help them have more impact, immediately.

The briefs are up here

  • GnewtCargo
  • FoodCycle
  • Bletchley Park

If you're up for it, please sign-up to come....and tell your best 'do-er and maker' friends.

If you'd like to get going ahead of time, please join the Good for Nothing network here - each challenge has it's own group on the ning for peeps to start sharing ideas, uploading data or creative inspiration or asking questions over the next month

The more input, the merrier - it doesn't matter which one you end up working on, we'd love to get things started now so we get more/better stuff done when we get together.

If you want to help us out with food, drink or anything else to keep the gang fed, watered and happy, get in touch - we'd love to hear from you.

And finally follow us on twitter for news and updates in the build up to weekend.

Here we go again! Let the fun and games commence :-)
