Three Things to do at Making it Mobile This Year (28th Nov)
The BLN is running a November edition of Making it Mobile (28th Nov), the small but perfectly formed conference that aims to bring new mobile technology together with large enterprises implementing mobile projects.
The participants already include decision makers from Net-a-Porter, Tesco,UBS, my-wardrobe.com, Starbucks, NHS direct, Uber, Future Publishing, the FT and Unilever, and we’re able to offer Chinwag readers a 15% discount on registration.
Here’s three ways to make the most of MiM 2012...
Earn Some Recognition with the MiM Award
It’s incredibly simple to enter: register with Eventbrite and in 100 words explain why your mobile product is great for consumer engagement. Your product will be judged by some of the most influential people in the mobile industry and 10 entries will be shortlisted to present in front of the whole conference. And by the way, if you think you’re not influencing consumer engagement, you’re wrong, according to the BLN.
Learn from the Do-ers
The mobile industry is a fast moving space but key themes and topics have emerged over the year. MiM is showcasing the doers in the industry: the large brands and enterprises with war stories to tell about;
- What every CEO needs to know about mobile
- What can leading mobile enabled companies across sectors learn from each other?
- What role does UX, psychology and human behavior play in maximizing the value you get in mobile?
- What do you need to know, and what can you ignore, in the world of m-commerce and mobile payments?
Meet the Decision Makers
MiM exists to bring technology and business together. The mission is for every delegate to leave with a task they can action in the next three months and the contacts to make it happen. Get your mobile device out in the breaks, or secure a showcase spot, and make the most of the opportunity to introduce yourself to the decision makers actively building mobile projects for their business.

Showcase Your Mobile App at Making it Mobile
Part of the conference includes the Making it Mobile Showcase for Best Customer Engagement Tool: MiM Award 2012, supported by Twilio.
A great opportunity to pitch to leading investors, brands, marketing managers and influencers. Oh, and it's free. The deadline is midnight on Fri 16th Nov.
The entry process is dead simple - and I'm one of the judging panel, but don't let that put you off!
