Celebrating the best in the North-West

The Golden Globes, The Oscars, The Razzies, and on, and on...New Year, new awards season. And the call for entries for Big Chip 2009 awards, for digital businesses in the North West, is now open.

Time to fill out those application forms, whittle down the list of thank you's to the barest minimum.

Call for entries for Big Chip 2009

The Big Chip awards 2009 are now open for entries, and will stay open until 16 March. Businesses from all parts of the digital sector in the North West can enter one or more of the thirteen main categories, such as Best E-business project, Best use of design and Best use of Technology. New categories this year include Best On-line Brand Development, and Best Newcomer, plus any entrant for the North West awards can win the new Tasty Website Award, and the coveted New Media Agency award and Grand Prix.

Two of the top awards are open to entries from outside the North West: the Game of the North covers northern England and the headline Big Chip International Award for Innovation is open to nominations of digital work done by anyone, anywhere.
