Your turn to shine: Channel 4 leads cross-discipline talent search

4Talent are scouring the country for the UK’s most innovative and ground-breaking talent for the 4Talent Awards 2008.

Those entering will be judged by industry insiders who, if you’ve got what it takes, could be your commissioning editors of the future.

The Awards are focused on young, emerging talent who are tipped for great things. Entrants must be 30 or under on 31/12/08 and a resident of the UK.

The winners will receive a full-spread interview and photo shoot in the November issue of 4Talent magazine and UK wide press attention spearheaded by Channel 4.

4Talent’s magazine
has included such luminaries as Mike Leigh divulging the bare bones of his work and the inimitable Nick Broomfield talking style, substance and illegal war.

Categories range from Long Documentary and Comedy Writing to Production Music and Animation.

For 2008 the 4Talent team have added two additional new media categories; Multi-platform and Innovation. Both aim to draw attention to pioneering approaches to multi-media production.

If you think you’re up to the challenge visit the 4talent homepage for more info.

Both the completed form and any posted supporting materials must be received by 5pm Friday 29 August 2008. Any material received after this date will not be considered and the twenty winners will be notified by 31 October.
