Open Data Awards 2015: Last Call for Entries
The second annual Open Data Awards are almost upon us but there's still time to noiminate your open data heroes (or yourself) at least until the deadiine this coming 09:00 BST Monday, 8 June.
The impact of open data across government and business is dramatic, new research from the Open Data Institute shows just how large the impact can be. Now in their second year, the Open Data Awards celebrate innovation and excellence in open data across the world.
The awards, run by the Open Data Institute (ODI) cover five categories:
- Open Data Publisher Award – celebrating high publishing standards and use of challenging data
- Open Data Social Impact Award – celebrating open data used as a tool for social good
- Open Data Innovation Award – celebrating open data used as a tool for innovation, in any sector
- Open Data Individual Champion Award – celebrating an outstanding individual pioneer of open data
- Open Data Business Award – celebrating open data used to transform business
They ask,
"Who has inspired you? Who is your unsung champion? What innovations have made a difference? Who has transformed their business? Who has published top-notch open data?"
The winners will be announced by ODI Founders Sirs Tim Berners-Lee and Nigel Shadbolt at an awards ceremony on 9 July, hosted by Open Data Awards partner Bloomberg at their London HQ.
