Your Brilliant Idea - the World’s Next Big Thing? Win A Trip to CES 2013 with UKTI's New Competition
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), in partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), is launching a unique competition for UK start-ups actively working in the consumer electronics space to attend the world’s largest consumer electronics show - 2013 International CES - in Las Vegas in January 2013 and CES Unveiled LONDON 2012.
UKTI’s competition will give the winning UK start-ups an unmatched opportunity to be part the world’s largest and most prestigious consumer electronics show.
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is the trade association for the $190 billion consumer electronics industry in the USA. Every year, CEA hosts the world’s largest consumer electronics show. Earlier this year, CES International 2012 spanned 1.7 million net square feet of exhibition space, containing more than 2,700 exhibitors from 140 countries. More than 140,000 attendees participated, with some 30,000 from outside of the United States, to experience in excess of 20,000 product launches across cutting edge technology categories such as; 3D, mobile DTV, tablets, apps, connected TVs embedded internet, green technology and more.
How Do I Enter?
To enter, simply visit the competition website, register, log on and enter – it doesn't take long and the potential prizes are amazing.
The closing date for the online competition will be 31st October 2012 and shortlisted finalists will be notified immediately.
What Could I Win?
The Winners of this online competition will be asked to come to London on Tuesday 13th November 2012 and take part in the Live Finals – which will take place in the UKTI Pitching Den. Finalists will be asked to give a three minute pitch presentation to a panel of industry judges. The Overall Winner and six Runner-Up Winners will be announced at the end of the Finals.
The Overall Winner will receive:
- A table top exhibition space at CES Unveiled LONDON
- A 10ft x 10ft turnkey booth at the Eureka Park Tech Zone at 2013 CES
- Hotel accommodation for two representatives in Las Vegas for the duration of the event
- Two return flights to Las Vegas
The Six Runner-Up Winners will receive:
- A 10ft x 10ft turnkey booth at the Eureka Park at 2013 CES
- £500 towards their flights and accommodation
