14 global startups featured at post-seed investment event, Pitch LDN 2016

2 VC panels. 14 companies pitching. 150 delegates. The first ever Pitch LDN, taking place during London Tech Week, served to highlight London's position as a top tech destination with companies hailing from the US and Spain as well as a great showing from the UK.
Covering Fintech, MADtech, Ecommerce, VR, Analytics, Big Data, Cyber security, mobile apps and Edtech, the companies (lookbook here), all at post-seed investment stage presented to feedback panels of VCs from Passion Capital, BGF Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Beacon Capital.
The event hosted by KPMG Tech Growth, and sponsored by Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, took place on Wed 22nd June 2016 at Huckletree and showcased a selection of the finest European emerging tech firms pitching for investment to expand their business, with firms working within a broad variety of digital sectors.
Amongst those taking part were hyperlocal mobile app Sup, crime-solving analytics provider, Create Intel who count 60% of UK police forces as customers, VR-meets-gym equipment startup, Gymcraft and Locomizer who have developed biology-inspired consumer profiling technology. Companies were selected from over 180 applications from the UK, Israel, Spain, US and even Iran.

Each startup had five minutes to pitch their company to our investor feedback panels: Maria Dramalioti-Taylor, Beacon Capital and Jason Ball, Qualcomm Ventures chaired by Patrick Imbach, KPMG Tech Growth.
The second session saw Stefan Glaenzer, Passion Capital and Priyanka Karunanithi, BGF Ventures field questions, chaired by Daniel Glazer, Wilson Sonsini.
Over one hundred people were in attendance, bringing the venue almost to capacity with a sizeable showing from the UK's tech investment community.
The afternoon kicked off with a brief overview of EU Investment from Sia Houchangnia, Portfolio Analyst at Seedcamp.

Pitch LDN is the second event in the Chinwag Pitch Series, which connects tech firms with investors across the globe.
