Social Media Week London 2013, powered globally by Nokia, is close and Chinwag are bringing their A game.

It’s a team effort and we depend on the depth and diversity of the Advisory Board to achieve great things.

We introduced you to some of them. Here’s the second roll call...

Richard Ayers

Richard AyersRichard is CEO of Seven League, a digital pluralist – a hybrid of content, creative and commercial expertise who founded media solutions firm Seven League. The company is a group of digital and media veterans expert in content, marketing, social, strategy, commercials, operations and innovation who help clients accelerate their digital performance.

Originally a radio journalist who turned geek, he launched the BBC News and Sport website in 1997. He was Manchester City’s first Head of Digital and is also the creator of the Datatainment concept. In 2012 he was named Digital Individual of the Year at industry awards and won Best Website at the Sports Industry Award with MCFC.co.uk.

Andy Bargery

Andy BargeryAndy Bargery is Director at Klaxon, a digitally savvy marketing and lead generation agency. He is a marketer and agency director with over 14 years experience primarily in the technology, construction, travel and event sectors.

Andy also founded the London Bloggers Meetup – a community of over 1,900 members.

Ruth Barnett

Ruth BarnettA regular tweeter and public speaker, Ruth Barnett is Head of Communications for SwiftKey, the innovative language technology startup behind the smart keyboard app of the same name. Until last year she was a journalist for Sky News where she worked in a variety of roles including on-air political reporter, technology producer and online writer.

In 2009 she became the media’s first Twitter Correspondent, using social media to source and break news and training Sky staff in how to use social tools. Ruth began her career as a multimedia trainee at the Press Association.

Charlotte Beckett

Charlotte BeckettWith over 11 years digital experience, Charlotte Beckett is the Head of Digital at The Good Agency. She has worked both client and agency side in private, public and third sectors. Now heading up the digital team at The Good Agency, which specializes in the not-for-profit sector, she is as a digital planner and strategist, putting together ideas for fundraising, campaigning and communications.

A believer in integration but not matching luggage, she’s likely to use words like “transmedia storytelling”, “social giving” and “gamification”. Most importantly, she believes in the power of digital for social good, and the role of digital in an integrated world.

Kristin Brewe

Kristin BreweKristin Brewe is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Internet Advertising Bureau UK (IAB). The IAB is the trade body that works with its 800+ members to define the future of digital advertising. Kristin is responsible for all marketing – promoting events such as the acclaimed IAB Engage conference, showcasing IAB thought leadership through PR and social media, managing member communications, and leading stewardship of the brand.

She also chairs the IAB’s Social Media Council which seeks to define best practices in social media and educate marketers and the public about the medium.

Kathryn Corrick

Kathryn CorrickKathryn Corrick is the Training Business Manager at Open Data Institute. Before joining the Institute, Kathryn was an independent digital communications consultant working with the likes of McCann Erickson, the British Council, Microsoft, Emarketeers, Technology Strategy Board and Mastercard; and advised numerous technology startups.

Kathryn is Journalist in Residence at Kingston University and has been a visiting lecturer at the University of East Anglia, Bournemouth University and Ravensbourne. She is chair of the Online News Association in the UK and member of the Democratic Society. She has been a member of Social Media Week London Advisory Board since 2010.
