British Interactive Media Association Reveals Shortlist for BIMA2011 Awards
Last week, the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) revealed the final shortlist for its prestigious annual award ceremony to be held on November 10th as Internet Week Europe wraps up.
During a packed event at LBi’s headquarters on Brick Lane, Nick Jones, head of digital at the Prime Minister’s office and Cabinet Office discussed the year in digital and gave insights into the importance of the UK’s leadership in this space. James Bruce, Head of Creative EMEA at Disney online announced the 100 nominees (full list here), chosen by an expert panel of 50 judges.
This year’s awards, with 26 sector and discipline categories plus five Premium Awards has seen a record number of entrants and those lucky enough to have made the final nominee list of 100 represent the cream of UK digital talent both in terms of creativity, effectiveness and innovation.
Chris Kempt, BIMA Exec, MD of Kempt and Co-Chair of the BIMA Awards judging panel commented that “The calibre of entries was outstanding and as a result the judging was a lot closer than in previous years – meaning we’ll see a number of highly commended entries as well as winners this year. Those who’ve won nominations can pat themselves on the back for having risen to the top of a seriously good bunch.”
There are a small number of tickets are still available for the award ceremony on 10th November at Fabric.
